Gina Venturini is a vocalist in the classic sense of the term. She sings from the soul and loves every note with all of her heart. Gina grew up in Nebraska, knowing at age three that she wanted to be a performer. Upon graduation, Gina made another switch, this time to the musical hotbed of Minneapolis. There she performed as a backup singer for a Neil Diamond/Elvis impersonator. She soon landed a tour with a Top 40 dance band called Passion. Gina honed her craft while singing six nights a week in Marriot hotels up and down the East Coast.
Gina�s voice has been heard on local radio stations from Nebraska to Los Angeles, and as a principal/vocalist on the legendary British variety television show, the Michael Barrymore Show. She has appeared as a dancer and featured vocalist in several musical theater productions, and has joined countless bands onstage in Los Angeles and on national tours including John M, Jay Nixon, Teri Danz, the Joe Vento, and Jimmy McConnell big bands.
In 2005, Gina joined forces with musicians Sean Stratton and Tristan Destry to form Genius Girl and in the summer of 2005, they collaborated on a CD of original Country, Blues, and Jazz titled �Happy Moon.� The collaboration ended soon after that and Gina started focusing on being a solo artist where she is currently working on a variety of live and studio projects, which will reflect and build upon her vast talents.
Offstage, Gina takes a leading role in the thriving independent music scene of Los Angeles. As Community Service Coordinator for Just Plain Folks (the largest online music community in the world) Gina recruited professional musicians to entertain at LA senior centers. She also promoted live music showcases as Innersoul Talent, while promoting and singing with Funkywhitegirl Christina Fasano, who was named R&B Artist of the Year by the LA Music Awards.
